Based in Los Angeles, AKILA was established in 2018. 

Chris Mart, the founder of AKILA, is an experienced designer of streetwear.
Through 10+ years of experience, he discovered his own faith to seek for his faith on designs, then he came up with the idea of starting a company focusing on eyewears.
In this mass production era, AKILA is focusing on handmade eyewares and quality control as the highest priority.
Moreover, they use recycling materials for certain parts, such as lenses and frames, which can be represented as a new generation one and only independent eyewear brand.

One more special thing about AKILA is that they collaborate with brands which are still-growing.

Usually collaborations can happen between the famous or trending brands, but Mart believes they can find something more valuable through the collaborations, as well as they can introduce somebody new to their own fans.
Thanks to this, AKILA is always evolving and impressing the fans through their items.
